VFW Celebrates Women’s History Month
More than 2 million women have earned the title ‘veteran’
WASHINGTON — The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) celebrates Women’s History Month throughout the month of March.
From the War of Independence to the Civil War, all throughout the 21st century and into the new millennium, women have served, strived, sweat, and sacrificed alongside of men in the cause for freedom and liberty. Yet, despite the demands of their service, their unwavering devotion to loved ones at home proved the immense capacity women have. No matter the time, place or need, America can always count on its daughters to step up and answer the call.
Please join the VFW and its Auxiliary in celebrating all women and saluting the more than 2 million women veterans for their courage, commitment and contributions to the nation.
