2nd Annual Veteran Appreciation & Collaboration BBQ Dinner
Please join the 2nd Annual Veteran Appreciation & Collaboration BBQ Dinner on September 14, 2019, at VFW 8790.
All meat is donated by the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo (TM) and those with winning bids at the HLSR auction in the spring; livestock was raised by kids throughout the Lone Star State. Through these generous efforts, we bring together the best of our local communities and Texas agriculture in a show of support for our veterans, recognizing veteran-service organizations Combined Arms, The Mission Continues, United Service Organization (USO), Green Zone Housing, and Downtown Houston Rotary Club.
We focus on veteran appreciation, facilitating broader interaction within the veteran community, honoring select nominees, providing vital resources, and engaging veterans to help combat high suicide rates.
