Proudly rooted in the Spring Branch community, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8790 is a dedicated home for veterans, service members, and their families. Since our founding, we have remained committed to honoring the legacy of those who have served overseas and to building a vibrant support network for Houston area veterans. For over 60 years, our Post has brought together veterans of every era -- from World War II to Iraq and Afghanistan -- offering a place to share stories, foster camaraderie, and continue the mission of service. Our commitment is rooted in

Our mission: to foster camaraderie among United States veterans of overseas conflicts, to serve our veterans, the military, and our communities, and to advocate on behalf of all veterans.

Our vision: to ensure that veterans are respected for their service, always receive their earned entitlements, and are recognized for the sacrifices they and their families have made for this great country.
At VFW Post 8790, we host civic and military leaders, create opportunities for community involvement, honor our flag with deep reverence, and pay tribute to our fallen heroes through solemn ceremonies. Whether through advocacy, your programs, community events, or steak nights, we remain a pillar of connection and support for those who've worn the uniform. We invite you to explore, engage, and be part of our enduring legacy.
